Biography

Agnès PICON completed her PhD in endocrinology and oncology in Professor Xavier Bertagna’s laboratory at Cochin University Hospital (CHU Cochin). She then worked as an information specialist in industry for six years, successively within a pharmaceutical company, a clinical research organisation and a biotechnology company.

In 2005, she joined a leading French intellectual property firm, where she conducted searches in support of patent engineers.

She joined LLR in 2006 to manage, within the firm, searches relating to both patent and trademark activities. In this role, she was notably involved in freedom-to-operate studies and patent validity analyses.

Since 2009, she has been handling files relating to the drafting of patent applications and the prosecution of French, European and foreign patent applications. She is also involved in opposition proceedings and patent infringement litigation, as well as in patent validity and freedom‐to‐operate analyses. She advises a wide range of clients, including SMEs, large corporations, independent inventors and public research organisations.

Her practice covers a broad range of fields in physics and chemistry, including in particular medical devices, manufacturing processes, packaging, tanks and reservoirs, automotive components, battery modules, braking systems, electronic payment systems, haptic feedback devices, materials characterisation, polymers, goods transport, materials extraction processes, chemical synthesis processes, and environmental technologies such as materials recycling (polymers, metals, etc.), magnet recycling, geothermal energy, management of risks related to explosive gases, water quality monitoring, asbestos detection, depollution.
