Biography

Anne RIVIÈRE has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2012. After five years in the intellectual property department of a biopharmaceutical company based in the Paris region, specialized in plasma-derived and recombinant therapeutic proteins for the treatment of serious and often rare diseases, and seven and a half years in the Luxembourg office of a British intellectual property firm, Anne joined LLR in 2025 as head of the firm's Luxembourg office.
Anne has experience in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, cosmetics, agri-food, and innovative therapies, particularly cell therapy, as well as medical devices. She has handled cases involving formulated compositions comprising coagulation factors for the treatment of genetic diseases and aptamers targeting molecular disease markers.
She also has experience with filing and examination procedures for Community plant variety rights as well as applications for supplementary protection certificates (SPCs) in Europe, and she manages these procedures directly in several European countries.
Anne handles patent drafting and prosecution in France, Benelux, Europe and internationally. She advises her clients on intellectual property strategy and conducts patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate analyses.
